All Text Tools: Convert, Clean and Check Your Text
Free text tools: change case, turn fancy Unicode back to plain text, encode binary, decorate words and copy invisible characters in your browser.
Alongside the font and symbol generators, FancifyText has a small set of utilities for everyday text jobs. They are plain, fast and free, and they run in your browser, so what you type stays on your device.
The convert-and-clean tools change text from one form to another. The case converter switches between sentence, title, upper, lower, alternating and inverse case and shows live word and character counts. Unformat text does the reverse of a font generator: paste styled Unicode and get back plain letters you can search, edit and read aloud. The binary text generator encodes text as UTF-8 binary or Morse for you to copy.
The create-and-check tools deal with the characters themselves. The text decorator wraps a word in hearts, stars, flowers or brackets without changing the letters, which is useful when a field rejects styled fonts but accepts symbols. The invisible character page offers blank characters and explains the difference between a blank glyph and a zero-width control, which matters when you need an empty name, an empty message or extra spacing. If you cannot tell which page you need, search covers every generator, guide and symbol page by keyword.

When a plain-text tool is the right choice
Reach for these when appearance is not the point. Case conversion fixes text that was typed in capitals, unformat text rescues a note that was pasted in a fancy style, and binary encoding is handy for homework, puzzles and curiosity.
Invisible characters deserve some care. They can make a name look empty, but some apps reject them, and screen readers may announce them oddly. The page for each tool lists these limits so you can decide before you paste.
All of these tools work on text only. They do not upload files or ask you to sign in.
Stuck on a platform quirk? The guides and tutorials explain why styles sometimes fail to paste and how to fix it.
Frequently asked questions
Do these tools store my text?
No. The conversion happens in your browser and the text is not sent to a server for processing.
How do I remove fancy formatting from pasted text?
Use the unformat text tool. It converts bold, script, bubble and other Unicode styles back into plain letters.
What is the difference between a blank character and a zero-width one?
A blank glyph takes up space and looks empty, while a zero-width control takes no space at all. Some apps accept one and reject the other.
