Festive frames
Wrap a name or greeting in trees, snowflakes or gifts. The snowflake, snowman and sparkle frames use text characters, so they also show in places that block emoji.
🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄
A tree on both sides. The most recognizable festive frame.
❄ Merry Christmas ❄
Text snowflakes, so the frame still shows in places that block emoji.
☃ Merry Christmas ☃
The text snowman ☃, a lighter look than the ⛄ emoji.
🎁 Merry Christmas 🎁
Wrapped presents for gift tags and wish lists.
🎅 Merry Christmas 🎄
Santa before the text and a tree after it.
🔔 Merry Christmas 🔔
Ringing bells for greetings and party invites.
✧❄ Merry Christmas ❄✧
Stars and snowflakes in text characters, for a soft winter bio.
*:・゚✧ Merry Christmas ✧゚・:*
A string of small sparkles, like fairy lights around the words.

Which Christmas style to use where
Blackletter (Fraktur) is the lettering of old Christmas cards and carols, which is why it reads as festive straight away. It is also the hardest style to read, so use it for a two- or three-word greeting, not a whole message.
Script styles feel warmer and suit names on gift tags and family posts. Sparkle and star styles add symbols between the letters, which looks playful in a bio but makes the text longer, so check character limits on Instagram and TikTok.
- Instagram or TikTok bio: a short script greeting with one tree or snowflake frame
- Group chat or WhatsApp status: bold blackletter “Merry Christmas” plus a combo
- Digital cards and slides: any style, since there is no length limit
- Game names: plain bold styles survive best; see the stylish gaming names page before you pay for a rename
Frequently asked questions
Are these real Christmas fonts?
They are Unicode characters, not installed fonts. Each style swaps your letters for look-alike characters that are already on every phone, so you can paste them into Instagram, WhatsApp or a text message without downloading anything.
Which style looks most like a Christmas card?
Bold Fraktur, the blackletter style, is the closest to the old-fashioned lettering on cards and wrapping paper. Bold script is the softer choice. Both are long, so keep them to a short greeting rather than a whole paragraph.
Can I use a Christmas font in my game or profile name for December?
Usually, but check the rename rules first. Some games, such as Free Fire, charge for renames after the first one, so changing your name for the holidays and back again can cost you twice. Profile names on Instagram and WhatsApp can be changed for free.
Why does 🧑🎄 show as two separate emoji?
🧑🎄 (Mx Claus) joins two emoji into one and was added in Emoji 13.0 in 2020. Phones that have not updated since then show 🧑 and 🎄 side by side. 🎅 and 🤶 have been around much longer and show almost everywhere.
Do fancy Christmas fonts work with screen readers?
Not well. Screen readers may spell the letters out one by one or skip them. Keep the important part of a message, such as a date or address, in plain text and use the styled text for the greeting.
